Privacy Policy
How Dukes Controls collects, uses, and protects information across our website, products, services, and applications.
This Privacy Policy explains how Dukes Controls LLC (“Dukes Controls,” “we,” or “us”) collects, uses, and protects information across our website at dukescontrols.com, our products and services, and our software applications (including Axon, our industrial-controls and device-management application). By using our website, services, or applications, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
When you visit our website or contact us. If you submit a form or otherwise reach out, we collect the information you provide — such as your name, email address, phone number, company, and message — so we can respond. Our website may also receive standard technical data such as IP address and basic usage logs to operate and secure the site.
When you use our applications. Our applications — such as Axon, used by Dukes Controls staff and authorized client personnel — use Google Sign-In to authenticate users. When you sign in, we receive your name, email address, Google account identifier, and profile picture (if available) to create and secure your account. Our applications also process standard technical data (IP address, device type, and log data) and store the operational business records you and your organization create — such as clients, sites, devices, assets, services, and quotes. That operational data is business information owned by Dukes Controls and its clients, not personal information about you.
What we don’t do. We do not collect advertising identifiers, we do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers to profile you, and we do not sell personal information. Our applications include a demonstration mode that uses fictional sample data and collects no personal information.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to respond to your inquiries; authenticate users and operate our applications; provide and improve our products and services; keep accurate records of business activity; secure our systems and prevent abuse; and meet our legal obligations.
3. How We Share Information
We share information only as needed: with service providers who process data on our behalf (for example, Google for authentication and Amazon Web Services for hosting and storage), and where required by law or to protect our rights, our users, or the public. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
4. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed for the purposes above — for example, while your account is active or as needed to provide our services. When an account in our applications is deleted (see below), we promptly remove or anonymize the personal information associated with it. Business records are retained by Dukes Controls and its clients as operational records; where they reference a deleted user, the personal identity is anonymized.
5. Your Choices and Rights
Account deletion. If you have an account in one of our applications, you can permanently delete it at any time from within the app. In Axon, go to Settings → Delete Account. Deleting your account removes or anonymizes your personal information (name, email, and Google identifier) and revokes your active sessions. Business records you contributed to remain part of your organization’s records but are no longer associated with your identity. This cannot be undone; you may sign in again later to create a new account.
Access and correction. You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by contacting us (below). Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, which we honor as required.
6. Security
We protect information using industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and hosting within a private network. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
7. Children’s Privacy
Our website, services, and applications are intended for businesses, are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. International Users
Dukes Controls operates from the United States. If you access our website, services, or applications from elsewhere, your information may be processed in the United States.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Effective” date above when we do, and material changes will be reflected on this page.
